Armed with her pearl tiara, Krishnah Gravidez buckled down to work as the 2025 Miss World Asia titleholder, kicking off with a speaking engagement in Telangana, India with her pageant sisters.
On her Instagram post on Tuesday, June 3, Gravidez shared glimpses of her experiences exploring Telangana, posing with reigning Miss World Suchata Chuangsri and other continental queens.
“Celebrating the day Telangana was born. It has been a month filled with pride, love, and purpose. We’ve witnessed firsthand the undeniable beauty of Telangana — and there is still so much more to explore,” she captioned her post.
In the pictures, Gravidez also proudly displayed her Miss World Asia sash over her deconstructed toffee-colored Filipiniana gown with a bright pink floral design in front.
She also thanked the southern Indian state for being her and fellow beauty queens’ home throughout their Miss World stint.
“Thank you, Telangana, for welcoming us like family. Walking on your land has been a constant reminder of strength and humility,” she said. “I’m bringing with me all the amazing and historic stories you’ve shared, and I will definitely come back!”
One of Gravidez’s first duties as a continental queen was giving a speech at Telangana’s Formation Day event, where she spoke about the significance of honoring the state’s cultural heritage apart from its special day.
While the Philippines previously won the title of Miss World Queen of Beauty Asia and Oceania for placing highest among other countries in the region (Karla Bautista in 2004; Gwendolyne Ruais in 2011), Gravidez’s feat was being celebrated for coming close to winning the country’s second crown, after Megan Young in 2013.
Support for Suchata
In a separate post, the Baguio-based beauty queen expressed her love for Suchata, saying she is a queen who represented what it means to “lead with grace, love, and unwavering dedication.”
“To our @missworld @suchaaata you have shown us what it means to lead with grace, love, and unwavering dedication. Your journey is an inspiration to many, and we are beyond proud to witness you make history,” said Gravidez.
“We’ll be with you every step of the way, cheering you on and supporting all the meaningful causes you will champion. Congratulations, queen,” she continued.
Gravidez joined Suchata in the Top 8 of Miss World 2025, but the Filipina beauty bowed out during the finals. When Suchata eventually won the crown, the title of continental queen went to Gravidez, being the next-highest placer for the Asia and Oceania region.
Meanwhile, Suchata is the first Thai beauty queen to be crowned as Miss World, a culmination of her successful shift from her Miss Universe 2024 third runner-up title. /edv
