Filipino actor Tanjo Villoso had a chance to show off his acting chops and physical abilities in the Netflix action noir series “Mercy for None,” which marks the K-drama comeback of So Ji-sub.
Villoso, who stars as the gang leader Okur in “Mercy for None,” shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of the series on his Facebook page on Saturday, June 7. One of his notable moments was a one-on-one fistfight with So, as captured on social media.
“It was a good fight scene with So Ji-sub,” he captioned his post, along with the hashtag “Pinoy Pride.”
“Some behind the scenes of ‘Mercy for None.’ What a good fight scene experience with the Korean actor [So Ji-sub],” he said in another post.
Villoso also interacted with his co-stars Lee Jun-hyuk and Gong Myung, as seen in separate posts.
“Here we go again. On the set with Lee Jun Hyuk of ‘Love Scout.’ [Please] watch, [seven episodes] are all out,” he said in one of his posts.
Prior to appearing in the K-drama, Villoso took on minor roles in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024 entry “Uninvited” and the Kapamilya action series “Incognito.”
“Mercy for None” tells the story of Nam Gi-jun (So), who made a firm decision to leave the world of criminal gangs after sustaining a life-threatening injury. However, the brutal murder of his brother Nam Gi-seok (Lee Jun-hyuk) forced him back into their world. /edv
