In a separate post, the MUPH reiterated its stance in celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community.
“Miss Universe Philippines proudly stands with the LGBTQIA+ community in celebrating Pride Month,” it said. “We honor the strength found in diversity, the beauty of self-expression, and the right to love freely. In a world we continue to shape with compassion and equality, we lead with one message: Love above all.”

Manalo, the MUPH 2025 titleholder, is a staunch ally and advocate of the LGBTQIA+ community, saying she strives to always speak about matters concerning the community.
“I’m really strong when it comes to gender equality. I call out someone who is being homophobic, and that’s what I’m strong about,” she said in an interview. “I have family members who are gay, and I have a lot of friends who are gay also, my mentors, my friends, my supporters, I’m surrounded by gay people and the LGBT community.” /ra
