Jennica Garcia felt the need to give a “proof of life” amid the internet reaction to the promotional art card that announced her participation in a “Flores de Mayo” event after it unintentionally resembled a memorial tribute.

The art card, created for the celebration at the Our Lady Mary Mediatrix of All Grace Chapel in Bocaue, Bulacan, features Garcia’s portrait with floral borders and religious imagery—a combination that many netizens joked gave off “memorial card vibes” or a eulogy announcement.

Garcia herself took the mix-up in stride, posting on her social media to assure her followers that the photo was indeed for the Flores de Mayo event.

The “Saving Grace” actress previously addressed the comments about the art card, laughing along with the rest of the internet.

“Akala nila sumalangit na ako (They thought I already went to heaven),” she said laughingly in the reaction video she posted on Instagram on Thursday, May 29.

Despite the poorly designed art card, Garcia told her followers to be kind to the artist who made it.

“Don’t blame the editor,” she said in Tagalog. “The editor is just doing his job. Stop blaming other people.” /edv
