“My gallbladder and the stones have been removed. Why did I choose to do this? Because the right side of my rib has been hurting for a long time now. It reaches my back. It just so happened that my doctor was only available on May 7 and 8, so I had to celebrate my birthday here,” she said.

The “Sunny” actress, however, assured her followers that she was feeling okay and relaxed.

“I’m okay. Thank you so much for your prayers. To be fair, it’s relaxing to celebrate my birthday here in the hospital. I slept so well. I feel like I was distressed. I think it’s because you only think about yourself when you’re here. It’s okay here. But I don’t want to make this a tradition, okay?” she said.

Pangilinan also shared some clips that showed her being treated to a birthday surprise by the hospital staff and her family including her son Quentin, who is on the autism spectrum. Actress Gelli de Belen also stopped by to surprise Pangilinan.

Pangilinan noted that people should try to have executive check-ups yearly to “give themselves a sense of peace of mind.”  /ra
