KATSEYE has dropped the telenovela-inspired music video of its newest track “Gabriela,” the second single from the global girl group’s upcoming EP “Beautiful Chaos.”

Released along with the song on Friday, June 20, the music video begins with Hollywood actress Jessica Alba, who portrays the role of the high-powered CEO of a company named Gabriela Enterprises, announcing her search for the successor of her company.

“It’s nice to see a competitive spirit. May the best Gabriela win,” Alba says, prompting a physical fight within the group.

The members then engage in several clashes in different settings, with them hitting, pushing and throwing objects at each other.

Speaking about the theme of the music video, KATSEYE said they wanted it to be “vibrant, colorful, dramatic, and full of heart.”

“We leaned into the world of telenovelas because they’re iconic and over-the-top in the best possible way–from the acting to hair and wardrobe,” the group stated. “We tried to honor that spirit while having fun with the concept. It’s all love, all homage, and definitely all drama!”

KATSEYE was formed through the reality show “The Debut: Dream Academy” and is managed by South Korean music company HYBE and American record label Geffen Records. Their upcoming EP is set for release on June 27. /ra
