Alexie Brooks reveals she is in a same-sex relationship

Beauty queen Alexie Brooks proudly revealed for the first time that she has been in a same-sex relationship for almost a year now. 

The Miss Eco International 2025 titleholder was asked about the status of her love life during a recent guest appearance on “Ask Boy Abunda.”

“How important is this man to your concept of happiness?” Abunda asked the beauty queen.

“I’ll rephrase [the term]. The woman,” she smilingly said. “Very important, Tito. I realized it when my grandma passed away and she was there and that was the first time I caught myself down on the floor.”

While not disclosing the identity of the woman, Brooks noted that her partner being there for her during her lowest moments made her realize how much she is loved.

“She helped me get up from the floor. I didn’t eat in a few days, she did not eat in a few days. She made sure I was okay and I think that tells so much about how much she cares for me and how much she loves me,” she explained.

The Ilongga beauty emphasized that she is “very grateful to have someone who makes her happy and supports every dream she has.”

Last month, Brooks shared that she identifies as an androgynous individual, or someone who is mentally or emotionally both masculine and feminine in style and relationships.

“I express myself as an androgynous woman or person. So, basically, if I feel like, I wake up in the morning and I feel like dressing up as masculine, I go for it. I have days that I feel very feminine, and I literally go for it,” she said. 

In April, Brooks secured the country’s third victory in the 2025 Miss Eco International pageant. She also made history as the first Black woman to earn the title at the culmination of the ceremonies. 

The 24-year-old beauty queen represented Iloilo City at Miss Universe Philippines 2024. She finished in the top 10 of the national pageant and was later appointed as Miss Eco Philippines 2025.  /ra
