Rocco Nacino and Kean Cipriano will return as Torran and Joshua in the upcoming film “Bar Boys: After School,” which is the sequel to the 2017 film “Bar Boys.”
Nacino and Cipriano’s casting was recently announced on “Bar Boys’” social media platforms, where it was revealed that Torran (Nacino) is now a professor at an undisclosed university. It was also hinted that Joshua (Cipriano) will return to law school for a possible second shot at becoming a lawyer.
“Rocco Nacino is back as Prof. Torran Garcia in Bar Boys: After School,” one of the film’s posts read, which showed a bespectacled Nacino carrying two books.
A separate post showed Cipriano with a shorter haircut and clad in a black polo.
“Kean Cipriano is back for ‘Bar Boys – After School.’ Joshua Zuniga – Student number 2005-1132,” the post read.
Benedix Ramos, Glaiza de Castro, Therese Malvar, and Bryce Eusebio will be joining Nacino and Cipriano in the upcoming film. However, it is unknown if Carlo Aquino and Enzo Pineda (who are also part of the original cast) will reprise their characters.
In the original film, Torran was struggling with whether to report cases of abuse in an elite law school fraternity he was a member of, while Joshua was unable to pass the entrance exam for law school as he had a hard time juggling review sessions with his acting career.
“Bar Boys” was written and directed by Kip Oebanda. It has become a cult classic as its central theme has been relatable to several law students and lawyers. /edv
