According to Anne, her interview with Park, Kim and Lee covered hints about “Good Boy,” their respective characters, and what fans can expect from the action-packed series. “It was very fun! We get to talk about the series. Hindi nawala ‘yung pagka-cute niya,” Curtis told select reporters on the sidelines of the event.

“I’m very, very happy. Of course, this is the second time I get to interview him because I hosted his fan meet [in the Philippines] years ago,” she continued. “It’s nice to see him again and talk to him about his latest series.”

The actress-host added that seeing Korean entertainment-related events from the perspective of a fangirl is an honor for her.

“I’m always so happy because we’re sharing the same industry. To see other people’s craft, it makes me so happy. I’ve seen so many Park Bo-gum’s series, so I’m very grateful to be in this position where I’m able to interview him,” she said.

Meanwhile, Karylle said being invited to the global premiere made her realize that one needs to “find new ways to live [their] best lives” while touching on her experiences as a K-drama fan.

“It’s really exciting kasi I realized that you have to find new ways to live your best life. I think one of the best things is to be with people who are as excited like you and as you are. That’s how to live life. You look forward to so many things. I love that we’re all here,” she said.

Karylle, who runs a podcast series covering K-drama and the Hallyu wave, also touched on her friendship with Anne, saying she considers her fellow “It’s Showtime” host as her K-drama fangirl buddy.

“Anne has been my fellow K-drama [fangirl], so just going back to ‘yung mga napanood namin in the past. The energy and excitement [between us] is kilig. You [need to] have that one friend na kasundo mo about certain things like sa pagiging fangirl,” she said.

Smiling, the theater actress added that she doesn’t want to use her influence as a celebrity to get closer access to K-drama celebrities. “Pumila naman ako! ‘Yung resibo ay nasa X (I lined up for this. The receipts are in X).”

“Sometimes, people will comment na, ‘Pumila ka muna.’ Sasabihin ko, ‘Huy, pumila naman ako.’ Para alam din nila. Matagal din naman ako naghintay (Sometimes, people will say, line up. I respond with, I line up with you too. Just so they are aware. I waited for opportunities like this too),” she added.

“Good Boy” tells the story of former athletes who were chosen to become special police officers after facing hardships throughout their sports careers. Aside from Park, Kim and Lee, the drama also stars Heo Sung-tae and Oh Jung-se.  /ra
