Alden Richards’ directorial debut film “Out of Order” will make its world premiere at the third edition of the Da Nang Asian Film Festival, Sparkle GMA Artist Center announced on Wednesday, June 4.
Richards made the “bold leap” to helming the film, producing it, and starring in it himself, as “Out of Order” will also be a collaboration between his own production company Myriad with Viva Films. The film will also star Heaven Peralejo and Nonie Buencamino.

According to the filmfest’s website, “Out of Order” tells the story of a young attorney who must defend his estranged father, who is accused of murder, in court. However, he has to go against his ex-girlfriend.
“In his quest for justice, he’ll (Richards) delve into a world of shattered dreams, fractured relationships, and the long shadow of corruption,” the synopsis added.
The filmfest is organized by the Vietnam Cinema Development Association in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Da Nang City, to showcase “outstanding films from Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region.” /edv
