Amid the ongoing legal action against him, Eraserheads lead guitarist Marcus Adoro was put back in the lineup of the Eraserheads’ upcoming music festival show in October.
It can be recalled that Adoro’s participation from the band’s activities was withdrawn in April after an unnamed Reddit user accused the musician of raping her when she was in high school.
Months later, producers of the Electric Fun Music Festival, which the band will headline, announced Adoro’s involvement in the event via a statement released on its Instagram page on Saturday, May 31.
“Following our initial statement, Marcus Adoro has informed us that he is actively and legally addressing the baseless and false allegations that recently circulated online,” they began. “Mr. Adoro maintains his innocence and has presented the steps he has taken to assert his innocence through the appropriate legal channels.”
The producers further noted that Adoro’s legal counsel assured that his participation in the festival will not affect their “ongoing efforts to seek a fair and lawful resolution.”
“As producers, we want to make our position clear: We do not condone abuse in any form. At the same time, we firmly reject the culture of trial by social media. Allegations must be heard, but the truth must be proven, not assumed,” they stressed.
“We stand for due process, fairness, and the fundamental right of every individual to address accusations in a lawful and just manner,” they added. “The Electric Fun Music Festival is moving forward-and we are doing so with clarity, integrity, and our full commitment to the music and the community that brought us all together.”

The Electric Fun Music Festival, which was initially scheduled on May 31, was earlier moved to October 18.
Meanwhile, aside form the recent rape allegations, Adoro was also accused of physical and emotional abuse in 2019 by his daughter, singer-songwriter Syd Hartha, and his former partner actress Barbara Ruaro. /edv
