The death of Red Sternberg brought an outpouring of heartwarming messages from his “T.G.I.S.” co-stars and colleagues from the entertainment industry, with many sharing photos of their favorite memories with the late actor.

Sternberg died just three days shy of his 51st birthday on Tuesday, May 27. His death was confirmed by his wife Sandy three days later, although she didn’t reveal its cause.

While sharing a photo of them together, Andrews said on his Instagram page that he considered Sternberg as “one of [his] closest friends in showbiz” even after the latter decided to move abroad.

“He was the kind of person who could thrive anywhere, adapt to anything, and still stay true to himself. Generous, loyal, and real. I’ll miss his presence, his humor, his heart. Thank you for the friendship, brother. Rest easy,” he wrote.

Ciara Sotto looked back at her friendship with the late actor on her Instagram Stories while addressing him as “Kiko,” the name of his character in the Kapuso drama.

Rica Peralejo, who portrayed Sternberg’s leading lady in “T.G.I.S.,” reshared a clip of an old scene with the late actor. The actress previously revealed that she and Sternberg secretly had a mutual understanding, per reports.

“Super sad, [of course] Red is Michelle’s Kiko, and we will always be good friends. Our entire barkada is devastated,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, actress-turned-politician Angelu de Leon took to her Instagram Story to share Sternberg’s character name with a crying emoji.

Sternberg made a name for himself as an actor and heartthrob in the 1990s, with his role as “Kiko” in “T.G.I.S.,” or “Thank God It’s Sabado,” as his most notable work. He also appeared in the films “Silaw” and “Are You Afraid of the Dark.”. /ra
