Heaven Peralejo was applauded on the international stage for her performance in Mikhail Red’s horror film “Lilim,” bagging the best-actress accolade at the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival in Japan.
Peralejo received the award at the ceremony held in Nagoya, as seen on her Instagram page on Sunday, May 25.
“Still in disbelief,” she began. “Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for hearing me.”
“This one’s for my director Mikhail Red, Evolve Studios… and for my mom Luanne Peralejo. We did it,” she exclaimed.
The actress also thanked her bosses at Viva Films for entrusting her the role and for guiding her all through the process.
“Thank you to the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival for this incredible honor. To be recognized for something I love with all my heart—it means the world,” she continued.
In her acceptance speech, Peralejo further declared, “This is for the people who believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself.”
