Lotlot de Leon has hired a lawyer to defend her right to privacy and protect the dignity of her late mother, Superstar Nora Aunor, against what her camp describes as “malicious narratives” that tarnish their family’s reputation.
De Leon shared her lawyer’s official statement on her Instagram Story, which states that the firm will handle all matters related to the recent events that have placed the actress in “false light and malicious narratives.”
“This serves as notification to the public that Estur & Associates Law Firm through its Managing Lawyer, Atty. Mark Julius C. Estur, will be representing Ms. Charlotte Jennifer “Lotlot” Villamayor de Leon-El Soury in all matters related to the recent events which have placed her in false light and malicious narratives,” read the statement.
“In light of this development, Atty. Estur respectfully requests that the public and media respect Ms. de Leon’s right to privacy,” it noted.
The legal team noted that while public interest in De Leon’s life remains high, she is, nonetheless, “entitled to personal boundaries.”
“Any concerns or issues regarding Ms. de Leon will be addressed through proper channels and forums, and we will not engage in online debates or respond to personal attacks,” continued the statement.
The lawyer explained that as the eldest daughter of Aunor, de Leon is in a position “to protect the dignity of her mother and the reputation of their family.”

While the exact nature of the attacks was not detailed, De Leon’s legal counsel emphasized that they will not tolerate cyberbullying, defamation or any invasion of privacy.
“Ms. de Leon vows to protect the dignity of her mother and take the necessary steps to safeguard the rights and interest of herself, her family and her siblings, including taking action against any online harassment, cyber bullying, defamation and all acts which tarnishes and besmirches the reputation of the family,” said the statement.
The law firm warned that it is prepared to pursue “all available legal remedies” to ensure that its client’s rights are protected and respected.
“There will always be different narratives and perspectives, but the truth will always prevail,” concluded the statement.
This move comes amid renewed public interest in the personal lives of Lotlot and her siblings Ian, Matet, Kenneth and Kiko de Leon following the recent death of their mother.
Meanwhile, Lotlot previously sent social media abuzz after she posted a series of cryptic quotes about a certain “truth” and the “people who use other people.”
Coincidentally, the actress’ posts came after Aunor’s longtime close friend, John Rendez, issued a statement about how he felt “unwelcome” during the burial of the late actress.
