The Philippines’ Krishnah Gravidez showed off her pipes at the finals of the “Talent Challenge” in the ongoing 72nd Miss World Festival in India, singing a catchy Disney anthem.

Resplendent in her powder blue floor-length gown with matching cape attached to her arms, designed by Fatima Beltran, the Baguio lass belted out “How Far I’ll Go” from the hit animated film “Moana.”

The Miss World Philippines Organization, in a social media post on Thursday, said Gravidez’s song “inspired more than applause—she sparked hope.”

Her performance, according to the national pageant organization, “was more than a showcase of talent, it was a powerful message to women and children everywhere: Do not let the world define your limits. Like the song, chase your calling, rise with courage, and flourish beyond boundaries.”

At the end of the contest, Indonesia’s Monica Kezia Sembiring clinched the gold medal with a magnificent piano performance, thus earning for her one of the 10 spots allotted for delegates from Asia and Oceania in the quarterfinals in the coronation show.

Gravidez has so far made it to the Top 32 of the Sports Challenge, and the Top 24 of the Talent Challenge. Both “fast-track” events guarantee the winners an automatic entry to the quarterfinals. She failed to clinch a quarterfinal slot for the “Head-to-Head” Challenge.

Finishing second in the Talent Challenge was Cameroon’s Issie Princesse, followed by Italy’s Chiara Esposito.

The next fast-track events are for “Top Model,” where the ladies get to showcase their respective countries’ fashion creations, and “Beauty with a Purpose,” where the delegates share their humanitarian and charity initiatives.

The 72nd Miss World Festival will culminate at the final competition ceremonies to be held at the Hyderabad International Convention and Exhibition Center (Hitex) in Hyderabad on May 31.

Megan Young remains to be the lone Filipino woman to bring home the “blue crown,” which she did in 2013. Gravidez hopes to post the Philippines’ second Miss World victory.  /ra
