Rita Avila reminded her fellow Filipino voters not to be deceived by politicians who are supposedly using cash aid or “ayuda” to gain support from the public.

The actress spoke about this amid the nearing 2025 midterm elections, through her Facebook page on Monday, April 28.

Avila brought up the topic as she expressed her agreement with a netizen’s sentiment about how ayuda is “weaponized” and used to “gather crowds for political gain.”

She further took a swipe at those who continue to get rich while a huge percentage of the Filipino people suffer from poverty.

Meanwhile, in separate posts, Avila declared her support for senatorial candidates Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Bam Aquino, Heidi Mendoza and Luke Espiritu.

“Para sigurado, do’n tayo sa hindi corrupt,” the actress said.
