Dingdong Dantes and Charo Santos explore the theme of a May-December romance in the upcoming film “Only We Know” through a teaser released on Monday, March 31.
The clip, shared on Star Cinema, AgostoDos Pictures and Cornerstone’s respective Instagram pages, begins with Betty (Santos) and Ryan (Dantes) bumping into the former’s friend, Shamaine Buencamino’s Cora, at the counter of a supermarket.
“Mahilig ka talaga sa baguettes!” Cora quips, while handing the bread to the cashier. Cora is seemingly making a reference to the Filipino slang “bagets” which means young individual.
The cashier then asks Ryan for Betty’s senior citizen ID, mistakenly addressing the latter as his mother.
“Ah, hindi. Hindi ko siya mama,” Ryan clarifies.
The clip then transitions to the pair happily dancing at an event, and enjoying each other’s company while inside a camping tent. It also shows a scene where Ryan dances outside Betty’s home while she watches him.
“So ano ba talaga ‘yung totoo? Boyfriend mo ‘yung Ryan?” Cora can be heard asking in the background as a clip of Betty lovingly gazing at Ryan flashes.
“Relationship status: ‘Only We Know’”, the caption said. “Redefine love in cinemas this June 11.”

The film is helmed by director Irene Villamor. Other cast members are yet to be revealed as of this writing.
In previous interviews, Dantes was all praises for the ABS-CBN executive whose decadeslong acting career was marked with versatility.
“Napaka-professional, napakagaling, talagang wow,” Dantes said of Santos. “Alam naman natin na she’s a pillar in this industry. Ako, I look up to her, at talagang nasabi ko, ‘Wow, ‘yun pala ‘yung dahilan bakit ‘yung decades of hard work niya ay nakikita ko ngayon, unfolding right in front of my eyes.’”
(She’s very professional, very incredible, really wow… We all know that she’s a pillar on this industry. I look up to her and I can really say that, wow. I can see how her decades of hard work as an actress are unfolding right before my eyes.)
