Motherhood is hard enough as it is, but add to the mix a demanding career, and you get nothing short of a superwoman!

This commitment is not for the faint of heart as it can be overwhelming—way more than one’s personal pursuits and professional life—and involves an immeasurable amount of sacrifices in the process. Yet, despite the constant juggle, a fair few have embraced it and have been definitely acing it.

Jodi Sta. Maria

Amid her ventures in show business and even in the academe, Jodi Sta. Maria, who is pursuing a master’s degree in clinical psychology, regards being a mom to her son Thirdy as her utmost priority.

The actress shares a close bond with her son which is evident in their out-of-the-country trips together. Sta. Maria also built an admirable relationship with her former husband and Thirdy’s dad, Pampi Lacson, as well as his partner Iwa Motto, giving Thirdy an ideal blended family.

Dimples Romana

Dimples Romana entered motherhood at a young age, but it definitely did not become a hindrance for her to fall short of her responsibilities.

The mom of three takes pride in being able to support the dreams of her children. For instance, Romana has sent her firstborn Callie to Australia to study in an aviation school. Callie is now a licensed commercial pilot, earning the license in 2024 when she was just 20 years old.

Romana has two other sons, 10-year-old Alonzo and two-year-old Elio.

“One of the my most favorite parts of being a parent is that we get the gift of getting to know tiny versions of ourselves, our kids growing up having their own ways and finding their own quirks and character as they grow older,” Romana said.

Of all the recognitions Regine Velasquez was honored with in her decades of career, it is her son Nate whom she regards as her ultimate legacy.

More than being Asia’s Songbird, Velasquez takes pride in being a supportive mom to her only child with her husband Ogie Alcasid.

“Para po sa akin, ang akin pong legacy ay ang aking anak because people will forget about me, will forget about my voice, and what I’ve done in the industry, but my son will always remember me,” she said.

Neri Naig

Despite the recent controversies that shook their family, Neri Naig emerged stronger and wiser, proving to all and sundry that being a “Wais na Misis” is more than just a moniker. While she may not make frequent screen appearances, Naig has been growing her businesses and investments with her three children’s future in mind.

“I want to focus on raising our kids, securing a future for them,” she said.

Pokwang is not one to back down from adversities, including failed relationships, and it is shown in her fierceness in protecting her daughters Mae, Malia, and her grandchild Gabriel. The single mom has been vocal about her personal hardships and the double effort she puts into her work and business to be able to provide for her family.

Candy Pangilinan is a mom to her 21-year-old son Quentin who was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. The single mom and her son have earned social media followers with their mundane videos together, earning admiration for their close bond.

Pangilinan believes her son is her “ticket to heaven” as he taught her to be patient, tolerant and grateful of the simple things in life. The comedienne even noted that despite the struggles she experienced with Quentin’s dad, she regards the end of their relationship as a “blessing” because it prepared her to attend to her son’s special needs.

Anne Curtis wears many hats, juggling being an actress, a TV host, a business woman and a mom, among others. While she exudes a certain charisma as a celebrity, it is her maternal warmth that stands out especially when she talks about her daughter Dahlia.

“The way that I save and the way that I work, I know that it’s no longer just for myself anymore. Honestly, it’s all about Dahlia ever since I became a mom. You really become so selfless once you become a mom,” she said in an ABS-CBN interview.

Speaking about the best thing about motherhood for her, she added, “Everything—like you cannot choose one thing because there’s so much. “I am grateful, fulfilled, messy… as a mom, I am evolving and learning,” she said.

Celebrity mom Saab Magalona, a singer and blogger, regularly shares glimpses of motherhood with her two children Vito and firstborn Pancho who has cerebral palsy.

Despite the challenges and even the “mom guilt,” Magalona sees Pancho’s condition as “a privilege and honor with rewards beyond [their] wildest dreams.”

Iya Villania is definitely one super mom, recently welcoming her fifth child at age 38. Amid her duties as a TV host, Villania finds time to spend quality time with her children, making sure that she’s present in every phase of their lives.

On top of her many tasks, Vilania also prioritizes herself by keeping herself physically strong through religiously working out.

Jennica Garcia has earned the admiration of many for her candid way of sharing about her experiences as a single mom to her two daughters Mori and Alessi. The actress admitted she struggled financially that she was not even able to provide an air conditioning unit and water heater for her children.

But through hard work and her innate talent in acting, Garcia powered through and is now able to give her children a comfortable life. She recently shared that the three of them already moved from a studio type unit to a two-bedroom condo.

“Mahirap maging single parent pero kaya pala talaga. Mahirap lang sa umpisa pero eventually, kapag nalampasan mo na at nakapag-heal ka na, sobrang empowering yung feeling,” she said in a Smart Parenting interview.
